She tied the knot with her husband Thomas Sadoski during a private ceremony in California back in March 2017 – just days before the birth of their daughter.
And Amanda Seyfried has finally shared details of her low-key nuptials, which included a secluded ceremony near Malibu before enjoying a hearty meal at a popular yet humble restaurant on Los Angeles’ famed Sunset Boulevard.
In an interview with Net-A-Porter’s digital magazine PorterEdit, the 32-year-old actress also revealed that she and Thomas, 42, were both in ‘bad relationships’ when they first met on while starring in off-Broadway play The Way We Get By in 2015.
Telling all: Hollywood actress Amanda Seyfried has finally revealed details of her March 2017 wedding to Thomas Sadoski in Net-A-Porter’s weekly digital magazine PorterEdit
Recounting her wedding day, she told the publication: ‘We got married in Topanga, March last year. Just the two of us. And afterwards, I was like, “Can we just go to Cheebo?” It was awesome.’
For Amanda, it wasn’t at all a difficult decision to eschew the glitz and glamour of an extravagant wedding – the kind embraced by so many of her contemporaries in Hollywood – as she’s used to playing dress-up so frequently in film.
‘I get married all the time,’ she said. ‘I was in a wedding dress last week! I also go to premieres where people take my picture. I just don’t care about all that stuff.’
Tying the knot: The 32-year-old screen beauty tied the knot with Thomas Sadoski during a private ceremony in California back in March 2017 – just days before the birth of their daughter
The blonde beauty, who was nine months pregnant at the time she tied the knot, had very practical reasons for wanting to get married ahead of giving birth.
She explained: ‘I really wanted to have rings on in the hospital, you know? And what if something goes wrong, and he’s not legally my husband?’
Amanda – who has previously dated her Mamma Mia! co-star Dominic Cooper and actor Justin Long – also revealed that she was impressed when first meeting Thomas, because they were both in ‘bad relationships – but he didn’t flirt with her.
She said of the timing of their first meeting: ‘We were both in bad relationships…[Thomas] never flirted, never disrespected his wife. That was another reason why I thought, later on, that I could marry him.’
Mamma Mia! She also opened up about motherhood, revealing that she’s eager to have as many as five children with her 42-year-old husband
And once Thomas did end his eight-year marriage to Kimberly Hope, Amanda shared that it made things ‘healthy’ and ‘freeing’ when they started dating in early 2016.
‘It was amazing,’ she said of the new development in their relationship. ‘It felt healthy and freeing and clean. We can tell the story without any guilt.’
And while a whole decade separates the two in age, Amanda admitted that her husband’s age is exactly what drew her to him, telling PorterEdit: ‘I told my husband: “If you were any younger, I wouldn’t have married you.”‘
Now that the lovebirds are married and parents to their daughter, whose name they’re yet to disclose, Amanda is eager to fill their home with more bundles of joy.
Promotional trail: On Thursday, the star stepped out in Hamburg, as she promoted her new musical sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, during a whirlwind European tour
The screen beauty: ‘I definitely want more babies. Maybe three? Or four? Or five?’
She also revealed that motherhood has affected the choices she makes in her career, enthusing: ‘I feel more empowered. I’ll say no, I can’t do that press trip, I’m spending time with my daughter.

‘Oh, you want my top off for that part? How about we scrap that sex scene altogether? And no, I’m not wearing those thongs!’
Amanda, who stars in the upcoming musical sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again alongside Meryl Streep and Cher, also opened up about dealing with panic attacks and OCD.
She recalled: ‘I got dizzy, and had this crazy headache, so I pulled over onto the freeway ramp and called my mom: “I’m going to die!” I was gasping.’
As for her OCD diagnosis, she said: ‘My whole life changed. It was so empowering. At first, my publicist said, “Don’t talk about your anxiety.”
‘And I thought, “F*** you, actually. I want kids who are having weird thoughts to share them without stigma. And if that affects my career, so be it.”‘
