Coleen Rooney insists there was ‘no doubt’ she would follow Wayne to Washington

She’s been busy exploring her new home of Washington, after jetting into the US capital this week following husband Wayne’s move to DC United.

And Coleen Rooney insisted it was an easy decision to uproot her life in Manchester to move overseas, claiming there was ‘no doubt’ that she would go with Wayne.

The 32-year-old WAG – who shares four young sons with the footballer – did, however, admit that she was ‘gutted’ to take five-year-old Klay out of school.

‘I don’t think it [the move] will affect us as a family – as long as you are all together, we can take on anything,’ she told The Mirror

‘When [Wayne] signed, there was no doubt in my mind that we wouldn’t go. We are a family.

‘Especially for the kids. You want your mum and dad when you are growing up – like my mum and dad were there for me. We have always been a close unit – I want that for my kids as well.’

She did concede that it was hard when her sons – Kai, eight, Klay, five, Kit, two, and six-month-old Cass – are so settled in the UK.

The WAG is currently viewing homes and researching schools for her brood in Washington, after confirming that she and her brood uproot from their Manchester home and relocate across the pond.

Wayne, who is reportedly earning a staggering £300,000-a-week from the move, announced the move last month.

Coleen took to Instagram to mark the moment and excitedly announced: ‘Wishing our Daddy and my Wayne all the luck, happiness and success in America!!! It’s a move we are going to do as a family.’

Coleen followed up with another praiseworthy tweet for husband Wayne, noting: ‘Leaving England with so many trophies and also as England and Man Utd’s all time top goal scorer is a massive achievement!! It hasn’t been done for years and you did it!!!.’

Wayne and Coleen recently celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary, with both the TV personality and the footballer paying tribute to their significant other in a sweet collage of their happiest moments shared to their social media channels.

The couple tied the knot in June 2008 in a romantic ceremony with their nearest and dearest in Italy.

Since then, the pair have battled through their fair share of hardships, but have continued to stand by one another.

Speaking to OK! magazine about marking the milestone, Coleen confessed that they had never celebrated their anniversary together before.

She admitted: ‘It’ll be the first time we’ve been together on the day.’

However, Coleen has ruled out having more kids and is content with the size of her family, admitting: ‘I can finally say no more. I’m happy with the four boys.’
