Crystal Harris was a rock for her husband Hugh Hefner in the final years of his life.
TMZ has reported that Harris, 31, who was just 26 when she was married the Playboy founder in 2012, stayed by Hefner’s side when he was placed on bed rest, attended doctors appointments with him, and helped keep his spirits lifted by organizing game and movie nights.
Harris’ devotion to the well-being of her husband led people to call her ‘a pillar of strength’.

Initially, family members allegedly worried Crystal wouldn’t be there to support and care for Hefner in his final years, so her dedication surprised a lot of people.
Hefner’s family is now incredibly grateful to Crystal since proving fears wrong.
‘I haven’t been able to bring myself to write most people back to thank them for their condolences. I am heartbroken. I am still in disbelief,’ she told People following his death.

‘He gave me direction. He taught me kindness. I will feel eternally grateful to have been by his side, holding his hand, and telling him how much I love him. He changed my life, he saved my life.
