Ice-T’s new movie has a director, but the “Colors” rapper could use directions.
Cast and crew of the upcoming film “Clinton Road” were instructed to report to their shooting location in Chelsea over the weekend. But Ice-T instead showed up at producer Noel Ashman’s Upper East Side apartment ready to roll.
“Maybe Ice-T thought the set and Ashman’s place were one and the same?” said a source on set who assured us that the 59-year-old rapper-turned-actor eventually wound up where he was supposed to be.
Shooting this week took place at a defunct 23rd St. club formerly knowns as The Gates, which Ice-T’s character owns in the film.
We’re also told there was a funny moment on-set when “Sopranos” actor Vincent Pastore filmed a scene with outspoken mayoral wannabe Bo Dietl, who plays the mayor of New York City in the movie. During a run-in with one of the Mayor’s bodyguards, Pastore blurted out “I don’t care, I didn’t vote for him for mayor anyways.”
In real life, Pastore has attended fundraisers for Dietl, who will need all the help he can get on Nov. 7.
