Manning has X-ray on neck after knee to head late in Giants loss

Eli Manning had an X-ray performed on his neck across from the Giants’ locker room after Sunday’s loss to the Chargers, the Daily News has learned, but it came out clean.

Manning inadvertently took a knee to the head from teammate Ereck Flowers on the Giants’ final series after being crushed to the ground by Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa coming from the opposite side.

Manning was down on the ground longer than usual before rising and looked a bit wobbly, but stayed in the game. Manning said after the game he did not have a concussion.

Four of his receivers already had left the game with injuries, though, and two plays later he was intercepted on a pass intended for Evan Engram.
