Paris Jackson gushes over grandma Katherine after her second live show

As the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, it’s no surprise that music and singing runs in her blood.

And Paris Jackson put on quite the show on Saturday, playing live for the second time as the lead singer and guitarist of her band The Soundflowers – despite having had intense surgery on Friday in LA.

Although she played a spectacular set at the Canyon Sessions cancer fundraiser, the 20-year-old was more thrilled that her grandmother Katherine came to support and loved the music.

The beauty had her newly tangerine-dyed hair left out and straight and she was seen wearing a minimal amount of makeup.

Sharing her excitement and gratitude for her grandma’s support over on the Instagram page for her band, Paris also revealed that she wasn’t supposed to have even got out of bed on Saturday after having surgery the day before.

Although not going into too much detail on the whereabouts of her medical issue, she confirmed she had a abscess close to the size of a golf ball.

‘So long story short, I had surgery yesterday,’ said the beauty, adding: ‘I had an abscess that was almost the size of a golf ball’.

‘That’s one of the things that just grows and grows and grows until it pops. And if it pops, you can go septic and die,’ she further explained.

‘But I didn’t die and they operated immediately. They did say that it was something I should’ve gone under for surgery for, but I didn’t, and I was awake for all of it and it was definitely the most pain I’ve ever been though in my entire life – considering I’m covered in tattoos. But I’m alive!’

Paris further went on to share her gratitude for the support after her second live show and gush about her grandma.

‘And we played a show today and we didn’t completely suck,’ she began.

‘And my f**king grandma was there and I’m so relieved she didn’t hate it and she actually liked it. It means the world to me.

Paris and Katherine have continued to share a close-knit bond over the years.

The Jackson matriarch was given sole custody of Paris and her two brothers Prince, 21, and Blanket, 15, after their father Michael died in 2009.
