Pink reflects on ending her 16-year feud with Christina Aguilera

She ended her 16-year feud with Christina Aguilera last year and declared on Twitter: ‘I [love] Xtina, we’ve made amends.’

And singer Pink, born Alecia Moore, says she’s baffled as to why trolls can’t move on, telling Cosmopolitan Australia this week: ‘People want us to hate each other.’

‘Honestly, people want me and Christina to hate each other. That’s the way that her fans are, that’s the way that the world is, and I’m disgusted by it,’ she said.

‘I’m over this girl-on-girl violence and these f**king feuds. It’s high school. I don’t have time for that sh*t.

She added: ‘My head is about supporting women, giving credit where credit is due, putting light and love in the world and raising my kids and getting cuddles.’

It comes after the Grammy award winner was accused of scowling during Christina Aguilera’s tribute to the late Whitney Houston at the American Music Awards in November last year.

She swiftly hit back on Twitter, telling fans she was not scowling and is very much ‘in awe of Christina’s talent.’

Christina performed a rousing rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

As cameras scanned the audience for reactions, Pink seemed to grimace as Christina sang on stage.

Their feud allegedly began nearly after a dispute over who would sing the high notes in their song Lady Marmalade which featured Lil Kim and Mya.

Soon after, Pink began exclusively working with Linda Perry, before Perry decided to take on additional clients, including Christina Aguilera.

Public and private spats marred their relationship through the years before Pink admitted to Andy Cohen that the feud was unnecessary.

‘We were super young and super new at the whole thing, and I think I’m an alpha and she’s an alpha,’ the What About Us singer said. ‘I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal and we just are very different.’
