A student from a public school at Brooklyn’s troubled Erasmus Hall educational complex was found stabbed just outside the campus Thursday afternoon, police said.
Cops said a 19-year-old male was found stabbed in the torso near Church and Bedford Aves. around 2:40 p.m. and taken to Kings County Hospital where he was in stable condition.
The Erasmus Hall campus dates back to 1787 but violence and poor academic outcomes have plagued the complex for decades.
Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg closed Erasmus Hall High School and replaced it with five smaller schools in 2006.
Education spokeswoman Toya Holness wouldn’t say which school the victim attends, citing federal privacy laws.
“There were no serious injuries and it is being investigated by the NYPD,” Holness said.
Police said no arrests have been made.
