Cheryl confirmed she IS set to join BBC talent show, The Greatest Dancer with a rare social media appearance posted on Friday.
The 35-year-old revealed she will be joined by fellow captains Broadway and Glee star Matthew Morrison and Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse.
Wearing a quirky bomber jacket over a yellow top, she said: ‘Hi,I’ve got some exciting news. I am going to be joining the new show called The Greatest Dancer for BBC1.

Cheryl looked stunning wearing long statement earrings, with her brunette locks styled in ab up-do. She wore a pair of yellow shoes, which matched her top.
Auditions for The Greatest Dancer, a co-production between creator Syco Entertainment and Thames (part of FremantleMedia UK), are taking place in Birmingham at the ICC with the series due to air in 2019.

The show will feature a host of talent from across the world of dance from ballet to jazz, hip hop to Bollywood as they give the performances of their lives in the hope of being named The Greatest Dancer.
Expect dramatic auditions, incredible challenges and remarkable live performances as dancers swing, swirl and sashay onto the stage each week.
Leading the charge to discover The Greatest Dancer will be the three Dance Captains, who have a wealth of experience in dance and performance.
Cheryl has scored nine No.1 singles in her career to date and is an experienced dancer and performer.
She was reportedly thought to be in the line-up to appear on Strictly Come Dancing, but that is not the case.
Oti is a star of Strictly fame, is an eight-time Latin American champion in South Africa while Matthew is a Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe nominated Broadway legend and star of TV hit Glee.
The Dance Captains will have the tough job of whittling down the acts that get through the audition stage before picking who they want to mentor and take through to the live shows.
Cheryl said: ‘I’m so excited to be part of The Greatest Dancer! I’m looking for acts with real passion, who are going to push boundaries and give it their all, no matter what challenges are thrown at them. From my own dance background, I know the dedication and commitment dancing takes, I can’t wait to get started.’
Matthew said: ‘This is such a powerful moment for me. It’s wonderful to continue bringing music and dance into peoples’ lives like we did on Glee.
‘Dance is a safe haven that allows us to communicate where words cannot. It’s an expression of love and empowerment, driven by all the emotions that make us human.

The BBC is hoping its latest dance show, The Greatest Dancer, is another hit in the making.
The show is currently in development, having had a successful pilot filmed back in February, and filming will reportedly start as early as August 10, according to Metro.
The show, which is being produced by Simon Cowell’s SyCo company is rumoured to be scheduled for an early 2019 release.

The press release for the show describes it as: ‘From ballet to jazz, hip hop to Bollywood, the show is open to anyone.
‘Expect dramatic auditions, incredible challenges and remarkable live performances as dancers swing, swirl and sashay onto the stage each week in the hope of being named The Greatest Dancer.’
In the application for the show, the BBC revealed that the show is open to soloists, duos and bigger groups.
When is The Greatest Dancer released?
According to Metro, The Greatest Dancer could be released as early as January 2019, potentially going head-to-head with ITV’s reality singing competition, The Voice.
Who is hosting The Greatest Dancer?
Singer and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant—and later judge on the show—Alesha Dixon has confirmed she is working on The Greatest Dancer.
‘I can’t wait to be a part of The Greatest Dancer and work with Jordan,’ she said in July. ‘As a massive fan of dance I’m so excited about the prospect of finding amazing new dance talent.’
Dixon will be co-hosting alongside Diversity member Jordan Banjo, who was the backstage host on ITV’s Dancing on Ice.
Who are The Greatest Dancer judges?
Cheryl has been confirmed as a ‘dance captain’ on the show, implying she will feature in a mentoring capacity.
The appearance on the BBC show marks Cheryl’s move away from her connection to ITV, on which she was discovered on Popstars: The Rivals and later served as a judge on X-Factor.
A Metro source said: ‘Cheryl is so happy to be back on television doing something fresh and new. She is so grateful to Simon Cowell for giving her this opportunity.’
Glee star Matthew Morrison studied dance at the Tisch School of the Arts and has appeared in several Broadway productions including Footloose and Hairspray.
The actor reportedly hinted at his participation when on June 30, he wished Cheryl Happy Birthday on Instagram, commenting: ‘So happy you were born! Look forward to getting to know you better this year!’
Professional Latin-American dancer Oti Mabuse has TV pedigree having worked on Strictly Come Dancing and Germany’s Let’s Dance.
